Ramen Shop Notes

How a bowl and a beer are scored

The store page says a bowl is judged on noodle texture, soup temperature, aroma, umami, and how long you take to serve it. It does not print target numbers for those five. The Day 1 notes do print a beer rule, and that rule is the one to use on v0.1.48.17626.

Pour beer so the liquid and the foam together fill more than 70 percent of the mug. If the combined volume is 70 percent or less, points are deducted for insufficient beer. Serving beer with no foam adds a warning comment and does not, by itself, deduct points. The beer tutorial no longer requires the mug to be filled completely.

Other published handling notes from the same patch: you can carry up to five tare bottles, and you should hold only one bottle when you pour tare into ramen. Aim at a placed cutting board and right-click to secure or release it. You can still cut on a secured board. Garlic Chives are cut on a board and used as a topping once the shop reaches the level on the unlocks page. Tantanmen uses Tantan Tare. The notes add a comment when ramen is served with Tantan Tare alone; they do not print a score for that comment.

A critic is invited before you open. The store says to tune aroma, umami, and toppings for that bowl. The patch says the topping instructions appear when you are holding an ingredient. Gyoza are watched while they brown. Char Siu Don, and the Chashu rice bowls named in the patch, use the ramen ingredients over rice. Dish names switch between Chashu Rice Bowl and Chashu and Green Onion Rice Bowl based on the toppings.

If the combined beer and foam is 70% or less of the mug, the Day 1 patch deducts points, and a pour with no foam draws a warning without a point deduction.
